Taiyuan’s Changfeng Cultural District, a sprawling urban complex integrating government offices, cultural hubs, international exhibition centers, and residential areas, faced a fragmented identity. The existing lighting system lacked cohesion, failing to unify the district’s diverse zones—modern政务区 (administrative), 文化活动中心 (cultural), 国际会展中心 (exhibition), and 商务住宅区 (residential)—into a cohesive visual narrative. Outdated fixtures and disjointed designs undermined the area’s aspirational “high-end, friendly, welcoming, and romantic” atmospheres while incurring high energy costs.
Geometry Meets Intelligence: Crafting Cohesion from Chaos
OLP Lighting Solutions redefined the district’s identity through a modular, trapezoid-inspired design language, unifying streetlights, landscape lighting, and urban furniture into a seamless modernist aesthetic.

Trapezoid Motif: All luminaires, benches, and bollards featured geometric trapezoidal forms, symbolizing stability and innovation.
